A portrait of a Kathakali dancer. Kathakali is a dance-drama art form from the Indian state of Kerala. I always like the emotions conveyed during the performance, and the outlandish make-up. I used a lot of references from flickr, especially ones by Thomas-travel photography. Rendered in Maya/Mental Ray. Did some detailing in Zbrush, and final comp in photoshop. C&C most welcome.
